Dear Users: We are pleased to inform you that ABD Robot Controller Software Version 9 (RC9) has been officially released, and users who are still under warranty can contact us to download and install it.

The new version of the software can provide you with a better user experience, make complex test scenarios simpler, and make your tests more efficient.

In the newly released software version, the RC now includes three new software modules, two of which are direct replacements for the existing components of the current RC. These new modules include:

1. AB Grapher - A complete overhaul of RC's existing graphing tools and some new additions

2. Scenario Generator – replaces RC's existing path generation tools, providing a more effective and intuitive path planning method

3. Track Data Service – a brand new tool to manage and share data between different apps and later all connected vehicles.

For detailed information we can provide the corresponding introduction documents.

New features

  • Support ABD LaunchPad 80, GST120 and Halo Steering Robot (Note: RC8 does not support the application of these products)

  • Support for static object controllers, e.g. traffic light control

  • Use VBOX 3i as a sports pack on VUT (requires VBOX firmware V2.8)

  • Clear file naming VX_TY_RZ.run

  • More powerful computing channels

  • Dedicated ADAS data acquisition channel

  • 16 Time Tolerance Triggers

  • 15 custom gears

  • Offline setup test display interface and interface can be customized

  • Path following - starting from a stationary point

  • New Test Group - JNCAP 2019 Pedal Misuse Test Method

Compatibility

  • RC9 is not compatible with systems with TurboPMAC controllers, nor will it work with systems running RC8 or earlier software.

  • If using Synchro to run a multi-vehicle test scenario, all robots need to have a consistent version number, which means RC8 and RC9 cannot work together in sync.

  • If using the RC9 on an unmanned system, at least the unmanned base station software (DBS) of v1.36.1 or the GTC software of v1.3.3 is required, or higher versions are also available. Therefore, please upgrade DBS/GTC while upgrading RC and PowerPMAC versions.

How to update

Please contact support@zeer.com.cn and provide the serial number of the system you need to upgrade. If your system is out of warranty, you need to purchase ABD's support contract or a one-time software upgrade at the same time.
