GB 30510-2024 "Limits for Fuel Consumption of Heavy Commercial Vehicles" was promulgated on September 29, 2024, and is planned to be implemented from July 1, 2025, replacing the previous GB 30510-2018.
This standard combines the current fuel consumption status and energy-saving potential of vehicle models, and tightens the fuel consumption limits of different vehicle models and vehicles of different qualities to varying degrees. The method for determining the comprehensive fuel consumption of gasoline and diesel vehicles is based on GB/T 27840-2021 "Measurement Method for Fuel Consumption of Heavy Commercial Vehicles". The main changes in the measurement method are:
A: Change the testing cycle from C-WTVC to CHTC;
B: The recommended value for the driving resistance coefficient has been changed, and it is recommended that companies use actual coasting tests to determine the vehicle's driving resistance instead of using the recommended value;
C: Removed the minimum running in mileage requirement for vehicles;
D: Vehicles with energy-saving driving instructions have been added, allowing them to shift gears according to the corresponding instructions.
After the revision of this standard, hybrid electric vehicles will be included in the scope of limit application; Added applicable requirements for fuel consumption of concrete mixing and transportation vehicles, to be implemented in accordance with self dumping trucks; Other specialized transport vehicles shall be operated as trucks, and the corresponding measurement methods shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 19754-2021.
